The functions and rules of a government were not always transparent to the citizens. Many of the people’s hesitate to access the government officials for this reason. First time in India, Kerala chief minister Mr. Oommen Chandy made a different concept, the live webcast of chief minister office. So anyone can see what are happening in chief minister’s personal room and office room.

On 1st July 2011, Oommen Chandy has initiated the facility to see all official transactions of Kerala government in online. This is a 24x7 service. He was already launched this service in 2004. Now he started again this service after the reigm change of Kerala.
People can also submit their petitions to government via this website. In addition, Facebook and Youtube links of chief minister also given in the site. This method encourages the people to participate in giving petitions and keep staying with him. For Media and Press, they can easily download the recent news and reports of CM.

We can see the Press conference, Cabinet activities and meetings also without hearing sound. Oommen Chandy said that its one of the state’s policies. This will increase the transparency of the Administration. What an idea... Isnt it?
