Manage your Windows Phone Data with Lumia Storage Check App

Nokia released a new app called Lumia Storage Check beta for Lumia Windows 8 smartphones which helps you to manage your phone storage. Nokia Lumia phone comes with free 7 GB storage of SkyDrive online account and on-board memory also. With this app, you can view the detailed breakup of the phone memory usage including what type of data using that memory.

You can see the overview of the storage as a wheel type illustration divided into apps, media and files, system and free space. If you want more detailed view, swipe right will bring the details panel. There you can see exact storage taken by each app such as your emails, music, photos, office documents and etc. There is an option to clear to temporary files with one tap. Also you can remove your apps too by pressing long tap and uninstall from the apps list.

There is a new feature you can manage your Nokia Maps data also. Generally Maps are stored offline in your phone that takes huge memory of the storage. With this feature, you can now store them on external SD card too and your phone memory gets some more storage.

For this app, you will have to be updated with latest firmware software on your Lumia Windows Phone 8. Check your firmware is updated or not in Minimum firmware required section on the download page.
