How to Download Microsoft Windows 10 Setup ISO Files?

Microsoft finally released the Windows 10 operating system globally for public download. Windows 10 is now available as free upgrade for all the users those running Windows 7 or Windows 8 system. In case you are using genuine version of Windows 7 or 8 then you can upgrade for free to Windows 10 in the first year of release.

The update is rolling out gradually for all countries via Windows Update which will be notified in taskbar.But there are many people did not receive the update. Microsoft also provides an alternate way to download Windows 10 OS, so you can download directly ISO files via their Media Creation tool.

The tool allows users to easily download Windows 10 Setup ISO files. If you want to do clean install, you can create Installation media for another PC through bootable USB or DVD.

How to Download Windows 10 Setup ISO Files?

• Go to this Windows 10 ISO download page and select 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows. Then you can download the Media creation tool to your system and run the tool.

• If you want directly upgrade your current system to Windows 10, click on “Upgrade this PC Now”

• Otherwise Click on “Create Installation Media for another PC” if you want to install on other computers or clean install.


• Then select the language and Windows 10 version. Make sure you download the correct edition if you have Home version of Windows 7 or 8 then download Windows 10 Home only.

• Choose which media to download – If you want to make bootable USB drive directly then select first option otherwise you can save ISO files to your computer. (USB drive should have at least 3 GB of free space)

• After the download you can burn the ISO files to a DVD to install on other computers. If you are performing a clean installation without upgrade you need to provide the Product key.

Microsoft has already announced that Windows 7 and Windows 8 users can freely upgrade to Windows 10 in the first year of release date without any cost. If you are having original genuine version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, you can now upgrade to the latest Windows 10 system easily from your computer.

Windows 10 comes in different editions that include Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education. If you are using older versions of Windows, you should have to first upgrade to Windows 8.1. Those not eligible to upgrade will pay for $119 for Windows 10 Home and $199 for Windows 10 Pro versions.

How to Upgrade to Windows 10 OS?

Microsoft is rolling out the update gradually in 190 countries, so it may take some time for your system. You can check the update manually through by clicking Control Panel-> Windows Update-> Check Updates. If your system is ready to get update, you will see a new notification on your taskbar will alert when your upgrade is available. Alternatively you can download the Windows 10 ISO files.  If you want to install fresh OS, you will need to enter the Product key.

Microsoft Released Office for iPad with Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Microsoft finally released the much awaited MS-Office for iPad and it comes with three separate apps including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. The apps designed especially for touch user interface and also it comes with Ribbon interface similar to Windows desktop version. The iPad version has all the features of desktop version and more than iPhone version.

Office for iPad app is free to download and you can view any Office documents and present Powerpoint presentations. But editing and creating documents requires an active Office 365 subscription. The app syncs with OneDrive cloud service so you can access and edit documents from anywhere like PC, tablet and mobiles. You can save and download the documents from the cloud.

There is also some iOS features packed including voice dictation and Airplay support. Users can get one month free trial and then you have to subscribe for Office 365 to use it. The Office 365 subscription is now available for Rs.420 per month or you can go for Rs.4199 for annual subscription. Microsoft also promised Office for Android will be launched soon.

Microsoft Launched OneDrive Officially for Web, Android and iOS

Microsoft has officially launched its cloud service OneDrive, which was rebranded from SkyDrive last month because of the naming problem. OneDrive is a free cloud storage service and gives you one place for all types of your files similar to Google Drive and Dropbox services. Now it is available globally and comes with some bonus storage offers.

Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched its mobile application for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 devices. IRCTC website is the biggest e-commerce site in India and it is always in huge traffic, so getting tickets in IRCTC is very hard process for users. Recently they upgraded the site with high capacity server to handle 4.15 lakh tickets per day.

The app lets you to book train ticket and offers services such as PNR enquiry, train schedules and routes, ticket availability, cancellation and history also. Before the launch of these apps, you can only book the tickets on mobiles through their mobile site (m.irctc.co.in) but it has also some problems to work. The app built with Metro user interface so it looks good and easy to use.

Microsoft has officially released Windows 8.1 preview release and now it is available for free download at Windows store. It is an important update to the Windows 8 operating system which was launched in October 2012. Microsoft implemented this update for rectifying some bugs and now released as a preview version, so the final build will be launched later.

Windows 8.1 Preview version has lot of updates such as new desktop apps, Internet Explorer 11, improved Bing search, Start Button, slide show on lock screen, boot to desktop, desktop background in start screen and more features.

How to Upgrade your System to Windows 8.1 Preview? 

There are two ways to upgrade your system to Windows 8.1 through the Windows store or downloading ISO image files. If you are using any of the windows versions, you can install through the bootable ISO images that are available in 13 languages. Except the Windows 8 users have to convert the ISO image as a bootable DVD or Bootable Flash drive.

Windows 8 users simply click the ISO image and then click setup.exe file and follow the steps. If you are trying to install from DVD or USB, you need to enter product key. The product key for Windows 8.1 is NTTX3-RV7VB-T7X7F-WQYYY-9Y92F 

Important Note: 

After updating, you cannot uninstall the Windows 8.1 update from your system. When you update to final build of this release, you will lose all desktop apps from your system. Backup your system before you go to update otherwise you will lose your personal file.
