Facebook Live Video Feature Now Available for Desktop

Facebook has rolled out Live Video Streaming feature for desktop users. This feature was already available for only mobile users. Now Facebook allows users can start live video directly from your desktops and laptops.  So you can use live video streaming service from your PC with your webcam. Facebook added a new feature that makes it easy to use streaming software or external hardware when going live from a computer.

Facebook Live feature was available only for Facebook Pages earlier, but now anyone in Facebook can make live video. In the Facebook home page you will see a live video button on your profile in your desktop. This is a easy procedure as like as posting a status on Facebook and the option is available along with Check In, Activities on the NewsFeed.

Also if you are a gamer, you will be able to stream your PC gameplay to your Facebook friends easily. Users can start live recording of game play, tutorials, how-to guides to their friends and followers. Users will be able to share their screens, switch cameras and they can select the option to broadcast videos to Facebook Groups, Events and Pages.

•    Just go to your Facebook Profile or Page
•    In the top of NewsFeed / Timeline you will see the option Live Video along with “Create a Post” section
•    Click on it and go live.

Browse through your Newsfeed and click the arrow mark on the top right side of your favorite post which you want to read it later. You can see the option “Save” with the name of the link. Click save option and the link will be saved on your newsfeed.

How to Access Saved Content on Facebook.

You can see the new option “Saved” on your favorites menu below your Facebook profile name. All of your saved content is placed there and you can access them easily. The saved content is divided into few categories including links, places, movies, TV shows, books etc.

You can access specific type of posts easily and you can delete the posts by click on “X” button instantly. So this is useful tool to save your favorite and important links and posts from your friends.

Facebook Messenger App gets Free Voice Call Feature in India

Facebook has launched the voice calling feature for its Messenger app for Android and iOS back in March 2013. And the feature was available only for selective countries including US and Canada and etc. Now Facebook Messenger app updated with free voice calls support in India and you can call your friends and relatives easily with this app.

 

There are many free calling apps available but Facebook has a wide network of our friends and relatives connectivity, so you can find friends easily and call them with a click. The free voice calling feature will use your internet data plan and it doesn’t use your phone talk time. To use this feature, you need a 3G connection or Wi-Fi connection to get clear voice without problems.

How to use Free Call Feature in Facebook Messenger? 

• Simply login with your account in Facebook Messenger app for Andorid or iOS 
• Check your friends list to see who are currently online. Click the particular user that you want to call and go to chat screen. 
• Press the options menu and you will see the Free Call feature 
• You can call friends from chat heads and you can use speaker too.

You can use this feature only those who are using same Facebook messenger app and the option disabled when your friends are using Facebook for Web. If that “Free Call” option is in grey color, you cannot call to that person. After the ending of the call, Facebook will ask to rate the quality of the call to improve its performance.

Facebook Messenger’s free call feature is similar to Viber free calls. Facebook will be gradually rolling out this feature globally soon. The feature is not available in Facebook Messenger for Windows Phones that was launched recently.

Facebook has officially released its chat application, Facebook Messenger for Windows Phones. It was announced last week at MWC event and the app already available for Android and iOS platforms. Facebook Messenger comes with a new user interface and provides full chat experience with all features including image sharing, stickers and group conversations etc.

Facebook Messenger lets you see who is online for a private or group chats, you can send private messages and bring messages with pictures and stickers. You can share your location to find out nearby friends and all of your friends will be added automatically in the People Tab. There is also an option to import any new contacts.
